BlendForge Engine Licence (free of charge, no source code)
Version 1.0, 18 October 2026

Copyright (c) 2026 Sentient Bean LLC. All rights reserved.

"BlendForge" is a working name and may change; this licence carries over to the renamed product.

"The Engine" means the BlendForge engine as distributed in compiled form: blendforge.exe and the other program
files, libraries and built-in assets (such as assets\player.glb and the fonts compiled into the program) in the
Windows download and in games made with it. It does not include the Engine's source code, which is not released.

1. Free to use. You may download, install and use the Engine, for any purpose, personal or commercial, free of
   charge.

2. Your games are yours. You may make games and other projects with the Engine and distribute them, free or for
   sale, without paying any fee or royalty. This includes the unmodified Engine program files that the BlendForge
   add-on's Package Game copies into a game. Your own levels, scripts, art, music and sounds belong to you.

3. Sharing the Engine. You may copy and share the Engine's downloads, unmodified and free of charge, as long as
   this licence and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt go with them.

4. What you may not do:
   a. sell the Engine on its own, or charge for it apart from a game made with it;
   b. modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Engine, except where the law allows it regardless of
      this licence;
   c. remove or change this licence, the copyright notices, or THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in copies you share (a
      packaged game keeps them in its folder).

5. Other parts, other licences.
   - Third-party libraries and fonts built into the Engine are used under their own licences, listed in
     THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt. Nothing here limits the rights those licences give you.
   - The BlendForge add-on for Blender is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later
     (see the LICENSE.txt in the add-on).
   - The samples, demo games' project files and documentation are under the MIT licence (see samples\LICENSE.txt).

6. No warranty. THE ENGINE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT
   LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT
   SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF
   CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE ENGINE OR ITS USE.

7. Later versions. Later versions of the Engine may come with different terms. A version you have received stays
   under the licence it came with.
